Tailor Pro™ sliding lure explained

What Makes Tailor Pro™ Lures Different?

Anyone who has spent time casting metal slugs from the rocks or beach knows the frustration. You hook a solid fish, feel those powerful head shakes, and just when you think the fish is yours… the hook pulls and the fish is gone. It’s a common problem with traditional metal lures, and it happens for a simple reason: the weight of the lure works against you.

The Problem with Traditional Metal Slugs

Most metal lures are rigged with the hook fixed directly to the body of the lure. When a fish is hooked and begins shaking its head, the heavy metal slug swings back and forth. That weight creates leverage on the hook, helping the fish throw it.We designed the Tailor Pro™ to solve that exact problem.

The Tailor Pro™ Sliding Lure System

Designed for Tailor, Proven on Many Pelagic Species

While the Tailor Pro™ was originally designed specifically for targeting tailor, the system works just as well on a wide range of pelagic fish. The sliding design has been tried and tested across many species. Any fish that can use the weight of a traditional lure to throw the hook can benefit from the Tailor Pro™ sliding system.

Every Tailor Pro™ lure comes fully pre-rigged and ready to fish. The rig is built using heavy-duty wire trace designed to handle repeated strikes from toothy fish and harsh saltwater conditions. Each lure comes standard with Owner Hooks ST-36BC treble hooks, with the option to upgrade to Owner ST-66TN 1/0 trebles. We also include a complimentary spare rig with every lure, so you’re always ready for the next session.
